Mondays are the best day to purchase most electronics because it's the day that electronics manufacturers extend discounts and rebates. As a result, retailers may lower their prices on these items. Video games may be cheaper this day because big sales tend to be earlier to draw in more customers.
Monday is also car shopping day: Coming off of a less than impressive weekend, any sales they can get to temper their unimpressive performance are gladly taken but sometimes the opposite is true. If the dealership had a big sale and the results were impressive, they may be more likely to make the same deals to people they met over the weekend. Planning a trip? Tuesdays are the best days to book your flight. More specifically, Tuesday afternoons at 3 p.m. Eastern time, to be exact. That's because airlines bid for flights on Mondays and release deals starting Tuesday.
However; the Tuesday rule has limitations. If you book too late - within 14 days - or if you book too early - more than 5 months in advance - you will pay a premium. Between three and four weeks in advance of your trip is ideal for booking flights within the US.
