Starbucks "poor man's latte"

An "anonymous" Starbucks Barista tells you how you can get off dirt cheap at Starbucks. Read the FULL ARTICLE here. Believe me, I'm going to be trying this the next time I decide to treat myself to Starbucks!

UPDATE :: Went to Starbucks today! I ordered three shots of espresso over ice, just like I knew what I was talking about. Total : $2.50 !! Then I walked over to the condiment stand and added some milk and cinnamon and equal. Tasted JUST like something I order frequently , that normally makes me drop a fiver.

HOORAY FOR HALF PRICE STARBUCKS!!! :: If you try this, please share your experience with us all!

old time pottery & Goodwill

this morning I stopped into Old Time Pottery for no particular reason ... I usually do not go there, because it is sooo overwhelming for an interior designer! flowers and vases and wrought iron swirlies, flowers GALORE, pots, pans, kitchen gadgets ... let's just say I'd go broke if I went often. However they have fabulous prices ::

some twigs to do a floral arrangement like this were 3 for $2. I also decided (after much debate) on a wrought iron piece similar to this ::

just imagine it without the square border. I intend to have 2 of these to create a piece of much needed art for the dining room. I will post the actual photo later: Anyways, grand total for this decorating excursion :: $7.50

I will hit up the dollar tree later because i know they have some wonderful vases and fake flowers/branches to finish my flower arranging.

At Goodwill, Monday is 50% off clothing day. I got a lot of t-shirts for the boys (and men) and a couple of pretty tanks for myself. $1.50 a pop. And like the previous post, these clothes are donated by rich people, so one of the shirts I got was a mens red classis Polo (the real thing) .. for a dollar fraking fifty !! I love saving money!!

I might be incognito for a while as it nears craft-show season (I just got some wonderful beads for new creations !! ) ~ but more on that later.
Have a wonderfundle day !

Free PC Security

FROM::::: http://dreamqueenfairy.blogspot.com.

""I don't know much about computers. All I know is how to do word processing and browse the net. When once in a while my computer crashes I am seriously out of my depth. I can even feel a crash coming once I start getting those "Program Not Responding" messages. It got to a point that I even have my own personal computer technician, the same way you have your own GP or dentist.

My technician is a very nice guy and is worth every cent I spend on him. In fact he is such a nice guy that instead of just fixing my computer he tries to teach me to do it myself. He's been telling me, "You need to defragment", or, "You need to clean up all those unused programs that are taking up space. That's why your computer is slowing down." I would still look at him with a blank expression when he said that. I had not realized that in order to use a computer I needed to take a technical course.

It's true that I am getting tired of having to cart my computer to him almost every month only to watch him fix it in 5 minutes and then be told that I could have done the same.

So when I heard about a program called Digeus System Optimizer 8.2 I felt like this is an answer to my prayer. Now instead of taking a course on how to fix my computer problems here is a program that will do that for me. All I will have to do is point a mouse and click. The program will defragment for me, clean up the registry ( whatever that is) and do a whole lot of other things I do not understand.
For those who know about these things here is a partial list of things the program has:

* Registry Cleaner

* Registry Defragmenter

* Junk Files Cleaner

* Duplicate Files Finder

* Disk Space Analyzer

* Smart Unistaller

* Smart Manager and Startup Manager

* Data Encryptor

* Optimization Wizard

* System Customization

* System Speed Optimizer

* Memory Cleaner

And so much more.

When I first ran the Optimization Wizard the Registry Scan found1243 invalid files and 295 junk files. The program told me I needed to change my CRT Display Refresh rate? from 60 Hz to 85 Hz as it was harming my eyesight. I had no idea!
Anyway if you are interested check it out at:

http://digeus.com/products/systemoptimizer/system-optimizer.html

By the way, if anyone is interested in getting the program for free they can do so by getting a free trial and then writing a review in a blo
g/ facebook/ twitter or forum. To find out more about this giveaway offer contact alise.johnson@digeus.com

Tea Tree Oil has many uses. It's a natural healer of just about everything. In soap, it's good for acne and rosacea. I love Dr. Bronners Tea Tree Oil Soap. I buy the LARGE bar at my local health food store, for under $5. Then, I slice the bar in half with a large knife. I put one by the sink and one in the shower. Basically, 2 bars of top notch soap for the price of one.

it's my mom's birthday!

In honor of my mom's birthday, I am putting some of her watercolor paintings up for sale on my ALeigh's artist website.

Check it out and make mom's day, too :)

& So I accidentally made Pesto ! (which is one letter off from "PRESTO" so therefore, it can;t be anything less than magic ~)I Boiled 1/3 large box of spaghetti noodles. I put 1/4 cup olive oil in a bowl. Then I added Italian Spice Blend, Parsley Flakes, Red Pepper Flakes, Garlic, Black Pepper, Salt, and a dash of delicious. My boyfriend commented how it "looked & Smelled like pesto). Duh, Amber! So I swirled my lovely concoction with a little more oil, Then I added some Blue Cheese ( Which :: Get This :: was leftover from my Wendy's Salad from earlier in the week) and I gotta tell you, this stuff is DELISH!

tightwad sunday dinner

Black Bean "Homemade" Chili
I am huge fan of canned tomatoes, because I don't eat enough tomatoes to invest in fresh ones. Therefore, these are already chopped, cleaned, and in a lot of cases, flavored. Here is my tightwad dinner recipe:

1 can Hormel Chili NO BEANS
1 can Tomatoes ( I used ROTEL for some spice )
1 can Black Beans
I chopped up about 1/3 of an onion and browned it with some garlic in the pot. Then I added the tomatoes, the beans, and the can of chili. Cook until boiling, let simmer as long as possible to maximize flavor. Add crackers and cheese if desired. Also, you may want to drain your beans and tomatoes. I did not, simply because I like my food runny. Ha :)
ENJOY !!!
